How we brew it

Good tea forgives a lot. A few simple measures get you most of the way.

Black

Premium CTC Tea

The Indian classic chai. The best way to brew it is the way you love it — everyone has their own way to make kadak milk chai. My choice: add water and milk in a 2:1 ratio. Boil it and add your sweetener. When it starts boiling, add a teaspoon of chai patti and let it boil for some time on a simmered flame. Filter it and enjoy. You can add your choice of spices while boiling the tea.

Our Special Tea Masala is the blend for this — add it while the chai boils.

Every note above is the merchant’s own, the way each tea is made at the counter on Heritage Street. Taste as it steeps and stop when it suits you. Keep your tea dry and away from light, and it will keep its character for months.
