A traditional Kashmiri household drink, also known as Kesar Kahwa — green tea blended with saffron, cardamom, cinnamon and fennel seed.
Plain on purpose
Sold in honest paper, not a gift box. You pay for the leaf — the luxury is in the cup.
Kahwa is what Kashmiri households have drunk for generations: a light green tea base, warmed with whole spices and finished with saffron. It is served after meals, through the winter, and to guests — always without milk.
Ours is all-original herbs blended with green tea: green cardamom, cinnamon, fennel seed and saffron. The cup comes out pale gold and smells of saffron before you taste it.
When the water starts boiling, add a quarter of a teaspoon and give it ten to fifteen seconds of boil. Let it brew for two or three minutes, add your choice of sweetener, then filter and drink it hot.
Sold loose in 50g. Also spelled kehwa or kahva.
When the water starts boiling, add a quarter of a teaspoon and give it 10–15 seconds of boil. Now let it brew for 2–3 minutes. Add your choice of sweetener, filter it and enjoy.
